Saying they are collecting a debt from a pay day loan company. What a scam.

This company just called me (12-21-09), claiming that I was used as a personal reference by a friend/relative (whos name they had and gave) who had commited financial fraud. I was asked to call or to pass the number on to her. The accent was quite thick and I could not understand the company name they gave; either it was ECF or ACF. My tip off to something odd was the caller ID number that did show up on my cell phone.

This number and an officer Tom Matthews called me claiming that I owed money. When I looked into it and told them that I didn't he, like with the rest of the people, became angry. I threatened a counter-lawsuit for identity theft and he began apologizing. I am actually suing him for identity theft. The other number 717-406- 3871 is Tom Matthews. Their fax number is 270-517-8800, or so he said. If you can get a physical address for these people like I did you are able to counter-sue them.

they called me on 12-14-09 saying thati was being sued, and i hung up on them. the second time they called, i had my supervisor answer the phone and was told the same thing, that they were going to send somebody to my job. they called a third time, and that's when i found out that this number is a scam they did have the right last 4 digits of my social security number.
